The third Annual Festival of Golf, held by the Children’s Treatment Centre Foundation on September 6 and 7, was a great success raising $102,000 in support of the Centre’s Enhanced Programs, including Adapted Recreation, Music Therapy and Social Work, programs not covered under core funding.
The two-day Fogaritaville themed event began with a preview party at Rossini’s Restaurant Thursday, followed by golf on Friday at Willow Ridge Golf Course. 152 golfers and 50 volunteers were on-hand for 18 holes of incredible games and entertainment, food and drink stations, and of course, golf, followed by dinner and an after party with Acoustic FM.
Throughout the course, golfers enjoyed jerk chicken, cheeseburgers, pulled pork and taco stations, life-sized human billiards, surf machine and retirement games stations, specialty drink stations, cigar bar, along with a steel drum band.
Following the day of golf, the Foundation handed out 13 incredible doors prizes including an Tissot Watch, Deerhurst Package, Festival of Giving tickets, and a Traeger BBQ. This year’s 2018 Ford Mustang winner was Ed Prelaz of Chatham.
