SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST
The Children’s Treatment Centre of Chatham-Kent is hiring a Speech Language Pathologist. This is a fulltime (35 hours) maternity leave contract to begin October 2022 and end February 2024.
As a Speech Language Pathologist at the Children’s Treatment Centre of Chatham-Kent, you will be providing individual and group therapy, caregiver coaching, assessment, education, consultation and early intervention strategies for children and their families who have speech and language concerns. Services are provided virtually and in-person at the Children’s Treatment Centre, in childcares, schools, and in the Chatham Kent community.

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST
The Children’s Treatment Centre of Chatham-Kent is recruiting for an OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST (OT) – This is a fulltime (35 hours) one year contract. This position will focus on School Based Rehab Services (School aged ) and Purchased Services (all ages).
EDUCATION:
OT: Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy. Registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide screenings, assessments, consultation and intervention
- Plan services as part of a multi-disciplinary team that includes family, other care providers, staff from other agencies,

RESPITE WORKERS
The Children’s Treatment Centre of Chatham-Kent is seeking Respite Workers to provide respite care to Centre clients and their families. Hours are varied and based on need of the families and could include daytime, early evening or weekend hours although at this time the need is mainly for daytime hours.
Requirements:
- A Diploma in Early Childhood Education, Developmental Service Worker , Child and Youth Worker, or equivalent
- Experience with children and youth with special needs preferred
- Effective communication skills
- Commitment to providing quality life experiences in home and in the community
- First Aid and CPR certification
- Access to a vehicle and appropriate insurance
- Proof of COVID 19 vaccination
Certification in Safe Management or Crisis Prevention Intervention will be considered an asset.
