Behavioral Services
Behavioral Services
Who We Are:
Behaviour services are provided by a Board-Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) and a Behaviour Consultant who use evidence-based practice to help develop a plan to address your child’s behaviour concerns. All behaviour services use a child-led compassionate approach based on relationship building, safety, and teaching in small steps to address behaviour concerns.
The BCBA and Behaviour consultant will work as a team with each family to create a service treatment plan that fits into their lifestyle, builds trust, and helps achieve shared outcomes.
What We Provide:
The Children’s Treatment Centre of Chatham-Kent wants to be your provider of choice. We have provided services in Chatham Kent since 1948 and know that every child and family is unique. We will work with you to develop a plan to meet your family and child’s behaviour goals.
Behaviour services may be purchased to assess and help manage behaviour concerns such as:
- Emerging problem behaviours, such as whining, yelling, foot stomping, pushing items, and pushing people away.
- Severe problem behaviours such as self-injurious, aggression towards others and property destruction.
- Developmental concerns such as toileting, sleep, and engagement.
The BCBA and Behaviour consultant will work as a team with each family to create a service treatment plan that fits into their lifestyle, builds trust, and helps achieve shared outcomes.
If your child is already receiving government funded services at the Children’s Treatment Centre of Chatham-Kent or services from another provider, the BCBA and/or Behaviour Consultant, will share information as appropriate, to help ensure everyone is working together to meet client and family goals and needs.
